BRIXX Brno
A new type of urban living space
We are building a new neighborhood near the Masaryk University campus and Brno University Hospital, bringing to the city more than 400 new apartments, student accommodations, offices, coffeeshops, restaurants and many other shops and services. The project also includes 11 coworking spaces with 1,400 m2 as well as a private clinic for specialized healthcare services with more than 1,000 m2.
The brand new city block BRIXX is one of the most important multipurpose developments in Brno, and the size of the project will allow us to bring a new standard of premium shared living to the city, inspired by popular trends abroad.
"For our projects we are always looking for a novel concept that takes inspiration from pioneering concepts that have been successful abroad. We strive for a harmonious connection between original architecture and the urban context and lifestyle. The BRIXX Brno project fully exploits the potential of a long unused area within easy reach of the city center and will bring the city an attractive place with a vibrant community life, high standard of housing, and excellent accessibility to services."
Tomáš Vavřík, CEO of Domoplan
The work & live concept
Our vision is to create a new urban environment with different types of residences, focused on the lifestyle and needs of the younger generation, blending to a certain degree private and public spaces and possessing the potential to become one of the most interesting places to live in Brno.
The complex of two distinctive city blocks is by its nature very traditional architecture.
Block A (with a highly distinctive residential tower and exposed brick facade) houses the majority of the apartments, a ground floor with a variety of shops and services and a dedicated medical facility.
Block B (with white plastered facades) is adapted for student housing. In addition to 92 accommodation units, it will have full student facilities in the form of its own kitchens, breakout rooms, clubhouse and restaurant facilities. It will also offer 11 coworking units based on the work & live concept. The ground level will have bistros, coffeeshops and other services, with a private green park for residents with terraces and community gardens.
Modern living that meets high demands for sustainable energy
A combination of green roofs, heat pumps, solar power and battery storage will produce enough energy to run the common areas of the building. A grey water reuse system and retention tanks for irrigating park greenery with rainwater will also introduce significant savings. Charging stations for electric vehicles or electric bicycles will naturally also be included, and we will also encourage the use of shared scooters, bicycles and other means of transport as much as possible.
