Top-class housing for families completed. DOMOPLAN ceremonially opened the award-winning Starý pivovar residence
The residential project with a green park under the windows brings forty-six new apartments to the Brno real estate market. Private balconies or terraces, courtyard galleries with a historical Královo Pole heritage, premium materials, thoughtful layouts designed for families and smart home management - Starý pivovar boasts all of this.
The absolute winner of the Real Estate Project of the Year competition has received its final approval! The Starý pivovar residence was ceremonially opened by representatives of DOMOPLAN, THIERRA, and the RAW architectural studio on Sunday 16 June during the Home in Královo Pole family day.
"From the beginning, we intended to build the Starý pivovar residence to be an ideal home for families. That is also why there is a park right below the windows of the apartments. The residential building is situated in a quiet area with quality amenities and quick access to the city centre. In short, Královo Pole is a great place to live and we are very pleased that we have managed to build modern residential housing here, which is prized by the professional community," said Tomáš Vavřík, CEO of DOMOPLAN, at the opening of the new residence.
Starý pivovar offers top-class housing with layouts from 2+kk to 5+kk, which are adapted for modern control systems and smart energy management. Residents have 58 indoor parking spaces, electric car charging stations, a heated bike room with a buggy room and a service point for bicycles. A 2,000 square metre park directly below the windows with a sitting area and planted flowers, shrubs, and trees is also an ideal place for relaxation.
High-quality design using top-quality materials
The residence is situated next to the former monastery brewery, which currently houses the Faculty of Information Technology of Brno University of Technology. The original architectural design of Starý pivovar, which allows as much natural light as possible into the interiors, is the work of the RAW studio.
In addition to the apartments themselves, premium materials were used in the common areas, consisting of travertine tiles and terrazzo floors. Glass railings in the windows and ceramic tiling in the apartment building also complement the stylish living. The architectural form of the Starý pivovar residence is therefore a continuation of the local history.
Planting the residential house between the local baroque and modern architecture and at the same time creating a timeless design was possible thanks to natural materials. The rough facade cladding and natural travertine in the common areas retain their consistency, color and overall quality for a long time. All apartments have their own balcony or terrace, while there is a lounge on the other side of the house. This is another symbolic reference to the historical form of houses typical of Královo Pole.
More than 700 visitors enjoyed the ceremonial opening
On the occasion of the ceremonial opening, DOMOPLAN organized a family day called Home in Královo Pole. The entire programme was hosted by the actors from the popular series Good Morning, Brno!, the presenter duo Zuzana Zlatohlávková and Ondřej Kokorský. The packed programme included a concert by the Bombarďák band, a theatre show for children by Sandra Riedlová, a bubble show by Pavel Roller, garden games, board games by the Game Planet, and a gastro show. "The Home in Královo pole family day was a successful culmination of a community campaign in which we spent several months promoting the main benefits of living in Královo Pole as well as the local personalities, places, and businesses," commented Michal Stružka, marketing manager of FIPOX, on the opening of the residence, which was attended by over 700 visitors.
During the family day, the public also learned the results of the public vote for the Greatest Královo Pole resident, organized by DOMOPLAN. From among the eight personalities nominated, actor Karel Höger came out as a winner, and he is going to have an art installation in the park for his lifelong cultural and social contribution. Its form will be decided by an art competition that DOMOPLAN has announced after the results were made public. Interested parties can submit their design proposals by 31 August.
The winning design will be selected by a jury comprising DOMOPLAN's CEO Tomáš Vavřík, artist Ivan YVANS Svárovský, painter Hana Krupa Linhartová, and the architects of the RAW studio Tomáš Rusín, Ivan Wahla, and Lukáš Wagner, who contributed to the architectural design of the residence. "Together with the construction of residential projects, we always try to revive a given place artistically and thus increase its value. This is similar to the Block A[rt] residence, where seven talented artists will beautify the walls of each floor. We support young local talented designers, graphic artists, sculptors, and creatives and give them the space to realize their ideas. That is why we have now decided to organize a public competition, which is an ideal opportunity for them to draw more public attention to themselves," said Tomáš Vavřík.
DOMOPLAN will provide funding for the artistic implementation.
